Commercial Contractor and Construction Management Company, F.A. Wilhelm Construction, has always recognized the importance of community involvement. After all, our community is where we live and work. Wilhelm Construction employees take pride in giving their time and talents to several different organizations including:

United Way – The Wilhelm Construction family of companies hosts an annual fundraising campaign supporting United Way.

Wheeler Mission Ministries – In an effort to be sure all families can experience holiday warmth and cheer, the Wilhelm Construction family donates food, clothing and toiletries.

Race for the Cure – In times when almost everyone knows someone affected by breast cancer, Wilhelm Construction employees and their families help do their part by racing for a cure.

Rebuilding Together – Wilhelm Construction has been a longtime supporter of the neighborhood program Rebuilding Together – from painting to planting to plumbing.

Wilhelm ACTS – In the past, Wilhelm Construction has adopted troops while overseas. This idea turned into a new community outreach program called Wilhelm Actively Contributing Through Service (ACTS) where employees, vendors, and partners work together to provide home modification services to wounded service men and women and their families when returning home. We realize our men and women here at home need help, too. For further information about this program please contact Debbie Gee.

Back Pack Attack – Some families in our community are unable to provide their children with adequate school supplies. Our efforts bring in markers, pencils, art boxes, back packs, and so much more so children can concentrate on their education.

Volunteer Day – Supported by management and a company policy, employees are given a day away from the grind at work to give back to the organization or charity of his/her choice.

Habitat for Humanity – Wilhelm Construction is an annual construction sponsor for Habitat for Humanity, and this year for Habitat’s 25th anniversary, Wilhelm Construction employees stepped up to the challenge to build a playhouse for the Play it Forward program.

ACE Mentor Program – Wilhelm Construction is an active participant in the ACE Mentor Program, which exposes students to real-world architectural, contractor and engineering opportunities. Wilhelm Construction contributes to the scholarships and grants that offer financial support to the students. Employees also dedicate their time during the school year to mentor students. They meet with the students to teach them about the various jobs within the construction industry and take them on tours of job sites, the students then use this experience and information to work on their own simulated construction project.

The Wilhelm Construction family of companies annually sponsors families during the Christmas season to spread a little cheer in hopes everyone can wake up with that twinkle in his/her eye.

Throughout the year there are opportunities to give through charitable events and donations. Examples of these include Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner and the Riley Children’s Hospital golf outing.
