Shelby County officials and Indiana Live! Casino owners pushed for a tight deadline. Indiana Live! is Shelby County’s largest economic development in years, and the owners wanted the casino up and running to complement their adjacent horse track. Wilhelm was construction manager and general contractor. Dramatic lace ceilings and an airy 50-foot atrium and chandeliers with pierced copper panels are unusual features. Indiana Live! Casino galloped to the finish line without interrupting the horseracing schedule.
