The Red Skelton Performing Arts Center serves two important purposes. It is a theater that welcomes the surrounding Vincennes community and ignites the creativity of students. And it preserves the memory of Red Skelton, a Vincennes native and nationally beloved entertainer for 70 years. From the grand foyer, where Skelton’s paintings, statues and memorabilia are displayed, to the 70-foot Proscenium arch at the heart of the structure’s theater, Wilhelm Construction, the general contractor, successfully merged the two missions.
