The expansion of the VA Hospital meant going up: Wilhelm served as general contractor for a two-story vertical addition, adding a 7th and 8th floor to the existing facility. The challenge was to complete the project while the hospital was operational with very little noise, no interruption of care and tie-in to all existing services such as electric, med-gas, HVAC and more. A detailed schedule and round-the-clock communication ensured a successful completion.
