Martindale Hall

Crawfordsville, IN

Founded in 1832, Wabash is a private liberal arts college with a mission to educate men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely. Martindale Hall is the largest living unit on campus but was originally built in 1961.

Wilhelm served as the CMc to complete Martindale Hall’s redesign and modernization to house 79 students and create large gathering spaces for student engagement and interaction. As part of a larger investment in cross-campus student housing, the Martindale Hall redesign included new room configurations, innovative common areas, larger group study rooms and a expanded living room. Given its storied history as home to many Wabash alumni and its prominent location in the heart of activity, this residence also included outdoor gathering spaces with gardens and a grilling area.
