The Sisters of Our Lady of Grace are building a new monastery on the site of their current location in Beech Grove. The sisters will continue to live in the current monastery until the new building is complete. The monastery and the Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center will be taken down once the new monastery is completed. The community’s recent decision to close the Benedict Inn, build a new monastery, and demolish the retreat center and current monastery was the result of a multi-year planning process. Another factor is the current size of the monastic community. Its 42 sisters live in a monastery built to house 88.

The new facility will be 60,000 SF and will feature 35 rooms, a chapel, full-service kitchen, and living areas. Wilhelm is the construction manager for this project. The new monastery is currently in the design phase; Wilhelm is providing budgeting, constructability reviews, and site logistics planning. Once the project moves to the construction phase, Wilhelm will manage the construction.
