The new Indianapolis Animal Care Services offers much needed resources for our animals with administrative offices, detached barn, and outdoor space. This new shelter is approximately 70,500 SF with an additional 7,025 SF under roof for the indoor/outdoor kennels. The building accommodates Cat Adoption, Dog Adoption, Training, Vet Services, Surrender, Enforcements, Administration, kennels, and Building Services with additional outdoor areas for a Public Dog Park, Adoption Center Play Area, and other support areas. It was constructed on a portion of a 24-acre parcel transferred to the City of Indianapolis. Exterior construction type is precast panel 70% of the building and the remaining exterior wall construction is conventional steel frame with metal stud.
