University of Florida (UF) Health North makes access to high-quality medical care more convenient for residents throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Wilhelm was requested by the client to work outside of our local market with Jacksonville local partner, Perry McCall. Wilhelm served as the Construction Manager, in conjunction with Perry McCall, for this new six-story, state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility and medical office complex.
Key elements of this facility included an Emergency Department with behavioral services and Urgent Care; Medical Imaging; Women’s Health Services; Multidisciplinary Spine Center; Operating Room Suites; Interventional Radiology; and Catheterization Lab throughout the first two levels of the complex. The top four levels consisted of Primary Care including OB/GYN, Pediatric, and Internal Medicine. Additional scope included a Specialty Care department and the University of Florida faculty offices.
Wilhelm worked efficiently with Perry McCall as well as new subcontractors to deliver this medical office building. The ambulatory care phase of the building was completed first, followed by a multi-phased approach completing interior buildouts of the medical office tower in 20 months. The project was finished on schedule and within the owner’s budget.
