Indiana Convention Center Hotel Ballroom

Indianapolis, IN

Scheduled for completion in the fall of 2026, the expansion of the Indiana Convention Center and the construction of the new Signa Hotel promises to be transformative additions to downtown Indianapolis. The expansion project includes a new four-story meeting and ballroom area, enhancing the convention center’s existing capabilities. The current Indiana Convention Center complex boasts 749,600 SF of usable space under one roof. With the addition of 148,000 SF, the total will approach an impressive 900,000 SF. This increased capacity has already secured future bookings for conventions well into the next decade.

Complementing the convention center expansion is the construction of the Signa Hotel, a towering 40-story structure that will become one of the tallest buildings in Indianapolis. The hotel will feature 800 luxurious rooms, a spa, and a rooftop pool, providing guests with top-tier amenities and stunning views of the city. The hotel alone will add 517,000 SF of space to the project. Wilhelm Construction is responsible for the structural concrete work for both the Signa Hotel and the new ballroom area of the convention center. The scope of our work involves approximately 75,000 cubic yards of concrete.
